Each of us must process loss in our own way, but we must also allow ourselves that knowledge that we are all part of a great creative source.

Fear based questions in and out of your head, inevitably lead you to the past or the future. You have no power in either of these locations. Your only power is in the present. It is easy to confuse looking for the lessons of the past with judging yourself for what you did not know or what you did not do.

The things in life that fill us and make us happy are the things of the heart. We live in a world that tells us what is important and what is not. Because the world is constructed on patriarchal values, the things of the heart are not considered to be important. There is nothing more important than listening to the wisdom of your heart and following that wisdom.

There is a tremendous amount of pressure to decorate the world around you. Remind yourself that holiday experiences, like all experiences are simply that–experiences. The important thing is you and how you care for yourself.

It takes courage to focus on the light when so much darkness is acted out.

All at once, it seems, the year is coming to an end. This year has been a roller coaster ride on many levels and we are still reverberating from that ride. Even at the bumpiest times, we are still blessed with so many good things.
