We often work and invest energy in a game in life in order to win the prize. The prize could be acknowledgment or accomplishment or approval, among many other things. Sometimes, however, we are not conscious of the prize we are working to get. This unconscious striving for an unclear prize can be disappointing. The phrase “It wasn’t what I thought it was going to be” can sometimes signal us that we were not clear on the prize. We want to evaluate the worth of the real prize in order to respect ourselves and our efforts. When you honor yourself and your energy and choose the game with eyes wide open, you have created the best possible climate to win the prize. As always, remember that you are more valuable than any prize the game can offer.
