The true wins in life happen inside of you. It does not mean that you cannot win outside things, but the outside win does not satisfy without the inside capacity to hold and appreciate it. When you decide on a goal and you choose the path toward that goal, you are in charge. You can acknowledge yourself with every step you take and strengthen your own capacity for growth. If you run a race and you have chosen how you want to run that race and what skills you are developing, the true win is in doing exactly that. No matter who wins the race, you win.
