The Art of Change

We are ending a year in which change was visible in virtually every aspect of life. In the areas where there was very little light, change was accompanied by war and other forms of resistance. Where there was light and love, change opened doors to better ways of living and being. In the upcoming year, change continues to be a theme and so it is important to learn the art of change.

When we begin to see change as an opportunity for creation, we can better embrace it. This allows us o use the creator part of ourselves in the best possible way. In our personal lives, we want to understand two aspects of ourselves; the first aspect is he comfort zone and the second is our true nature. The comfort zone might also be called the problem zone. While we enjoy what is familiar, not all familiar things are operating in our best interests. The comfort zone has patterns which sometimes do ot allow us to grow and create in the best possible way.

For instance, we might find ourselves comfortable, but not growing, in a job or a relationship or even a se of habits. When we feel change coming, we might resist by defending things which keep us in the same place, when life is asking us to move to better places. It is important to understand that this is natural and not to be critical of ourselves for this response. It is very much like exercising a muscle which we want to strengthen. Initially you will feel the resistance in the muscle. If you move gently, but consistently to strengthen the muscle, it will become stronger. The power to strengthen is in small steps. It is important to know that you will not feel great meaning in every step, but every step is good and should be acknowledged and rewarded. This is the way to support your worth as you grow.

The second aspect is your true nature. This is the most powerful driver of change. Your nature registers the need for growth and change and pushes you to move forward. Your nature is a sacred part of your spiritual identity. It seeks out learning and experiences in its desire to hep you actualize who you really are. This is the movement which gives your life meaning and fulfillment. Remember that mistakes and victories are both servants of the true self as long as you love yourself in both situations. The source from which you came is not judgmental. It is aware of your true nature and supports you as you grow and develop its power.

In the times ahead, embrace yourself in all the changes which you encounter. The changes are the signs of growth. Your ability to understand change as part of creation is a sign of your growth. Detach from all of the patterns which make you view the happenings around you as being in control of you. Know that you are the creator and your abilities are waiting to be known, strengthened and used to make the life you are intended to live.

Live this year in love.
