How things and people look can present problems when you want to know how things really are. It is not negative to notice how something looks but to understand that that is not necessarily what is true. The power of advertising is that it presents how things look with little or no concern about how those things work. There are also people whose sole emphasis is to make themselves look a particular way. The look is supposed to take the place of the reality of how they are. Often a bit more exploration of a person or a product will tell you what you really need to know. Be a careful consumer and take the time and effort to find what is true.
