Emotional states are often controlled by conditional beliefs. If I believe that I can only be happy if someone else behaves a certain way, then I am at risk for unhappiness. If I believe that certain things must be present in my life before I am safe, I am at risk for living a life of feeling unsafe. Being attached to conditions in order to live a good life is dangerous. Taking on the responsibility for your own happiness requires that you put down conditions and take up consciousness. As you explore yourself you will find the things that bring you joy, the things that sadden you and the things you can create to make the life you really want to live.
